We dwelled into the challenge of creating 2 home offices in one space tailor-made according to its occupants. Both were designed according to their respective genders and likes and dislikes. Let’s see how it turns out:

The Challenge:

The challenge was to amalgamate masculine and feminine home office designs in one place. This sounds very exciting when you read but to be honest, creating such a space with harmony in between is surely a headache as it requires a lot of extensive hard work and brainstorming.

  • Wooden paneling should not be a part of the office
  • A practical layout for the office
  • It should include sizable desks at both ends as well as a sleeper couch
  • Pops of pinks and feminine office décor to give it a feminine touch
  • Neutral masculine home office having contemporary furniture and other decorative accessories.

It was mandatory to include pink walls, abstract wall art, accent chairs, and other feminine ideas in the female side of the office. Whereas for the masculine side, it was mandatory to include nudes, contemporary and neutral interior design accessories accompanied with dark details that will accentuate the masculinity in the office area.

Both sides of the office must be aligned completely and in harmony with one another so that it gives a welcoming feel and feel at home.

The Mood Board:

For the masculine side of the home office, we chose minimal but striking decoration ornaments. It was safe and wise to go for photographic prints that will give out an impressive look to the atmosphere as well as to the interior of the office. The aesthetics for the furnishings were aviation-inspired – promising strong lines and bold curves while amalgamating the masculinity with the industrial overall look.

This side of the office was completely accessorized with feminine touches such as soothing artwork, feminine décor accessories, and a bookshelf. The guest van always moves the task chair in the nook to have a discussion on the desk.
