So, the challenges we faced were:

  • Visualize the furniture in an all green color pallet. From the bed, to the night stands, curtains, lighting and décor – all green
  • Usage of natural light, a mandatory to enhance the green shade
  • Emphasize on the functional potential of the room, make it multi-dimensional yet functional by all means.

You can have a contemporary design bedroom that will exude both style and relaxation. Keeping the background naturalistic, you can add a plethora of calming tones with the help of different elements and accessories and layering them with metallic finishes.

When you go for a particular color, it’s not just to cover the walls but the main idea is to infuse the color into decorations, fabrics, textiles giving a life to the room.

The Inspiration:

Nature was the main inspiration in this bedroom theme. A bedroom that oozes the tranquillity of atmosphere with the right kind of amalgamation of accessories and ornaments. The inspiration was taken from the green forests and the lush green conifer trees on the mountains.

In addition to nature, the inspiration was also taken from the internet to make sure that the room gives the contemporary touch. To balance out the green touch, accented furniture was added to tone down the energetic vibe of the room.

The Design And Ideas

Before jumping on to the bandwagon of a uni-color theme, the space needs to be analyzed and a basic setup needs to be derived so that the room has no distinctive character other than the main color. Only that design will work that has a layout of every element coming together as a cohesive whole, turning the room into a chic, super functional retreat for the occupant.

As discussed earlier, the room needs to be multi-functional and for that we need to add storage solutions that are modern yet not huge for the space. You can add a built-in wardrobe that will be aesthetically pleasing as well as functional when it comes to storage. Addition of a matte glass slide door would definitely be a cherry on top in order to enhance the airy atmosphere geling well with the green bedroom design.

To amalgamate the aesthetics into the room, add a little bit of white shade such as a drawer cabinet or a small vase in one corner to stand out against the green walls. You can also top it with a large mirror so that the daylight is reflected as much as possible.
