The more historically rich a place is; the more values it inherits from its ancestors resulting in a diverse culture.<\/p>\n<p>Karachi is one of the oldest cities of Pakistan. It was named as \u201cKolachi\u201d previously. It has seen ups and downs of different civilizations and has formulated into a bit cosmopolitan as of today.<\/p>\n<p>We have enlisted few historic buildings of Karachi which are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecubicfeetdesign.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">architecturally<\/a> rich and are breathtakingly beautiful.<\/p>\n<h2>Quaid-e-Azam Mausoleum:<\/h2>\n<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-206\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thecubicfeetdesign.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/history-300x300.png\" alt=\"Quaid-e-Azam Mausoleum\" width=\"450\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thecubicfeetdesign.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/history-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/www.thecubicfeetdesign.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/history-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/www.thecubicfeetdesign.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/history-768x768.png 768w, https:\/\/www.thecubicfeetdesign.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/history.png 960w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The mausoleum of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Muhammad_Ali_Jinnah\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Quaid-e-Azam<\/a> was designed by famous architect named YAHYA MERCHANT.<\/li>\n<li>It was inspired by the Samanid Mausoleum in Bukhara, Uzbekistan.<\/li>\n<li>Upon entrance through one of the four pointed arches entering into the mausoleum, there is a grand octagonal space with a ceremonial sarcophagus in its center.<\/li>\n<li>The approach to this monumental mausoleum is a beautiful landscaped avenue comprised of gardens, terraces, and fifteen symbolic fountains leading up to a 75m x 75m plinth that forms the base of the mausoleum. This 4m pedestal anchors the tomb in the landscape, delineating the man-made structure from its natural surrounding and emphasizing the importance of the contents within.<\/li>\n<li>The dome of the tomb is of reinforced cement concrete resting on 14 ft. that is Mohammed Ali Jinnah road and I.I. devotees buried him on a hill at the coastal area of Karachi.<\/li>\n<li>Shrine is made up of a square chamber with a green and white striped dome.<\/li>\n<li>It is embellished with Sindhi tilework, Agha.<\/li>\n<li>Made of sandstone brought from Jaipur.<\/li>\n<li>Building has domes and faux-minarets depicting heavy influence of Mughal architecture.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Sindh Madressatul Islam University:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sindh_Madressatul_Islam_University\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sindh Madressatul Islam University<\/a> was founded in 1885, making it one of the oldest educational institutions in South Asia.<\/li>\n<li>Architect was James Strachan.<\/li>\n<li>It was publicly funded at Serai Quarters, Karachi on an eight-acre estate.<\/li>\n<li>It was the alma mater of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammed Ali Jinnah.<\/li>\n<li>It remained as a high school till 1943<\/li>\n<li>In February 2013, it was chartered as a university by the Government of Sindh<\/li>\n<li>Quaid-e-Azam left one-third of his personal property to Sindh Madressatul Islam in his will<\/li>\n<li>It offers courses till doctorate level
